MTQ 2006 Presents All of the Market Leaders
The 11th MTQ trade fair for materials testing, metrology and quality management is evolving into a trend barometer for the western German economic region and neighbouring foreign countries. The MTQ, which will take place at Westfalenhallen in Dortmund from 15 through 17 November 2006, traditionally unites up-to-date offerings including products, systems and complete solutions for industrial quality assurance. As has also been the case in recent years, the market leaders and other renowned companies will once again participate at West Germany’s QA industry event – a clear indication of the great importance of this region which is still undergoing significant growth. MTQ will open its doors this year for the 11th time, and will more than likely outdo the already outstanding results attained by this trade fair in the past.
Traditionally Enthusiastic Participation
According to MTQ project manager Gitta Schlaak, 120 companies have already made their decision to participate, which is roughly 60% more than at the corresponding point in time for MTQ 2004. And thus all of the reserved exhibition floor space is already occupied. This, in turn, assures ideal prospects for even more lively participation on the part of expert visitors, especially in light of the fact that “comprehensive information in a compact format” is assured by the highly attractive supplementary program (MTQ exhibitor forum etc.).
Industry Related Focal Points
The event’s exhibitor structure is quite interesting due to the fact that exhibitor groups such as manufacturers of coordinate measuring machines (Werth, Zeiss, Hexagon Metrology GmbH etc.) ardently demonstrate their presence at MTQ, and important companies like Babtec, Böhme & Weihs and Studenroth are prominently represented as well. This encouragingly strong presence can surely be linked to comparably good business developments experienced by suppliers to the automobile manufacturers and the equipment manufacturing industry, which are at home in North Rhine – Westphalia, as well as in other close-by states and neighbouring foreign countries.
Bringing the Market to the Customers
In keeping with the philosophy of taking the offerings to the marketplace and not forcing the customer to go to the supplier’s place of business in order to gather information, more and more QA suppliers apparently see the MTQ as an ideal starting point for initiating new business and are placing their bets on “quantitative quality” instead of sheer visitor numbers. Within this context, presence at the “MTQ virtual trade fair”, which will be made available exclusively to MTQ exhibitors as of 3 months before the “actual” trade fair opens its doors, is also gaining in significance, and will provide expert visitors with the opportunity of gathering information regarding new products and technical trends well in advance. Expert visitors will thus be able to select specific offerings beforehand, allowing them to directly submit concrete RFQs without delay at the trade fair, saving time and effort for themselves as well as the exhibitors.
