Frickenhausen, 16 June 2005 – Great events cast their shadows before: The MTQ trade fair which once again will be promoted at the Westfalenhallen exhibition centre in Dortmund from the 14th through the 17th of November, 2006, is already meeting with approval from more than 50% of last year’s exhibitors. Backed by this comparatively high commitment rate at such an early point in time, private trade fair promoter Paul E. Schall and MTQ project manager Gitta Schlaak are well prepared for the 11th MTQ. According to statements issued by last year’s exhibitors, the MTQ is indispensable for the economically interesting regions of Western and Northern Germany, as well as neighbouring countries to the West and North thanks to its portfolio of technologies, products, system solutions and services in the field of quality assurance and management.

Special praise is reaped by the cost-benefit-success ratio offered by the trade fair, which is the only event in the region that presents the quality assurance process sequence in an interdisciplinary fashion, and above all in its entirety. And the large numbers of expert visitors see things this way as well, of whom more than 80% spontaneously indicated that they would certainly attend the next MTQ in 2006 in response to an impartial survey conducted at MTQ 2004. 73% of all expert visitors indicated that they were fully satisfied with trade fair offerings. The layout and nomenclature of the MTQ is deemed adequate and well geared to market requirements. For MTQ project manager Gitta Schlaak, this high level of acceptance on the part of exhibitors and expert visitors alike, represents an incentive and a commitment to further expand upon the success of the trade fair.

An attempt will be made to integrate the large numbers of technology centres and innovation forums located in Western Germany into the trade fair to a greater extent by means of an expanded concept for MTQ 2006. This will provide expert visitors with the advantage of being able to access a great variety of theoretical and practical information for discovering new solutions, and of taking advantage of this information for problem solving strategies in a synergetic fashion. Quality assurance represents a basic, and thus indispensable function of industrial manufacturing.
